In today’s global job market, remote work has emerged as a trend that allows individuals to work from anywhere, including in Africa. On my team, @I-Train Africa, I currently have four team members who are fully remote workers, and they have succeeded in consistently delivering quality results.
According to statistics, the demand for remote work has significantly increased compared to previous years, and the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated its adoption worldwide. Following this trend, many employers have embraced the concept of remote jobs, allowing employees to work from anywhere and providing flexibility and convenience; African employers are inclusive.
According to Nexford University, 73% of Africans wish to work remotely, while 42% already work from home at least once a week. This means that the continent is rapidly increasing the number of telecommuting jobs.
Benefits of remote jobs:
Remote work has increased the skilled workforce by allowing skilled and talented Africans to work for international companies and, thus, receive better salaries. There is a wide range of benefits offered by remote jobs, and here are some of them;

Remote jobs provide the freedom to work from any location, whether it’s from home, a coffee shop, or while travelling, thereby allowing individuals to create a work environment that suits their needs and preferences.
2. Work-life balance:
Remote jobs can help improve work-life balance by eliminating long commutes and allowing for more time with family and personal pursuits. They also offer the opportunity to integrate work into daily life more seamlessly.
